# How to search by a project's completion date?

## Filtering your search for projects completed within a certain range is easy with BuildCentral advanced project search.

When you initiate a project search for completed projects, you will see reports that go back to the inceptions of our respective databases. In fact, [there will be a few backdated projects](https://info.buildcentral.com/helpcenter/how-far-back-do-completed-projects-go?hsLang=en) as well.

If you want to [search for projects](https://info.buildcentral.com/helpcenter/introduction-to-buildcentral-project-search?hsLang=en) completed within a specific date range, you can use the advanced search to narrow those date ranges if you’d like. In the screenshot below from [MultiFamilyData](https://www.buildcentral.com/multifamily-data/), see where you can click **More Options** on the right-hand side of the search panel to narrow your findings.

The white pop-up will allow you select the project stage(s) you care about, and in this case, we're checking **Completed**. Of course, you can do this for projects of any specifications you like.

Then, navigate to the **Construction End Date** header, where you can use the calendar or the MM/DD/YYYY format to select your date range. Then, **Search**!
